At Nursery Road State Special School, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student is valued and encouraged to reach their potential. While all children and young people with disability have the right to enrol in their local state school with reasonable adjustments, our school specialises in supporting students with severe intellectual disability and complex learning needs.
We offer highly individualised programs delivered by a caring, multidisciplinary team of teachers and support staff who work closely with families to support each student’s growth, independence and wellbeing. Parents and carers are welcome to apply for enrolment, with eligibility determined in line with Queensland state guidelines. Our process is evidence-based, transparent and timely, ensuring that each student is supported in the educational setting that best meets their needs.
